Discover how EDF Renewables supports territories in their energy transition and national decarbonization strategy by 2050.

Projects with a future

A major player in the world's energy transition for more than 20 years, EDF Renewables draws on its solid expertise to support local stakeholders in the creation, as well as the renewal, of tailor-made renewable energy projects, adapted to the environment and creating positive and lasting impacts.

Dialogue at the heart of the approach

Dialogue plays an essential role for the sustainability of renewable energy projects. It is in collaboration with elected officials, communities, residents, but also users and associations that we set up tailor-made consultation systems (door to door, presence in markets, visits to parks, etc.). Our objective: to create projects each year combining energy transition, environmental preservation and economic development.

Summary

Why a renewable energy project?

Benefit from tax benefits for communities throughout the duration of operation of the park or power plant, and thus develop new regional projects.

Mobilize jobs throughout the project construction period and create them in a sustainable manner for its operation.

Create projects that allow the coexistence of activities, or even the revaluation of unused or degraded land in the case of solar projects.

Contribute to energy independence and the fight against climate change.

The stages of developing a project

At the beginning of any onshore and photovoltaic wind farm installation, careful work prospecting, consultation and studies is essential. Project development is thus built in several stages and lasts on average 5 years for a photovoltaic project And 8 to 10 years for a wind project.
