At the heart of the territories

Welcome > At the heart of the territories

Our ambition: to develop, build and operate offshore wind projects with a future for the regions.

Why offshore wind turbines?

Offshore wind power represents a strong link in the energy transition. By capturing powerful and regular sea winds, the installation of wind turbines at sea makes it possible to produce abundant carbon-free energy, contributing to the electrification of uses and energy sovereignty.

Growing in Europe but also around the world, offshore wind electricity production has seen a significant drop in costs in recent years. Europe and France have also contributed to the birth of an industrial sector, creating jobs in major European ports.

Did you know that a 500 MW offshore wind farm (around 70 wind turbines) could produce the equivalent of the annual electricity consumption of 700,000 people?

Our ambition in offshore wind power

A recognized player in renewable energies, the EDF group has been deploying expertise in offshore wind power for more than ten years through projects in development or operation.

With more than 500 people dedicated to these activities, we are the leader in this energy in France, and are developing projects in areas with high potential: North America, Asia, etc.
