EDF Energies Nouvelles today announces the good result of its Simplified Public Purchase Offer (OPAS) for the company FUTUREN (FTRN). Since the submission of the offer on June 20, EDF Energies Nouvelles has been able to acquire the majority of the securities available on the market. According to the results published by the Financial Markets Authority (AMF) on July 20, EDF Energies Nouvelles holds a total of 240,855,625 shares representing 87.5% of the capital and 87.2% of the voting rights of the company FUTUREN, as well as 105,601 OCEANEs representing 62.7% of the securities still in circulation1.
The OPAS followed the acquisition by EDF Energies Nouvelles, on June 9, 2017, of 67.2%2 of the capital of FUTUREN with the previous concert of majority shareholders of the company, under the same conditions, i.e. €1.15 per share and €9.37 per OCEANE. The offer will not be re-opened.
This operation is part of the EDF Group's CAP 2030 strategy, which aims, in particular, to double its renewable energy production capacity by 2030 in France and internationally.
