With nearly 6 GW of direct electricity purchase contracts signed worldwide, including more than 600 MW in France, we are happy to support our customers in their energy transition and to contribute directly to their decarbonization.

A power purchase agreement (also known as a PPA) is a direct purchase contract between a producer and a consumer of electricity for a period of up to 30 years. .

Summary

How it works ?

The customer signs a electricity purchase contract (PPA), linked to the production of one or more EDF Renewables parks.

Through this contract, EDF Renewables undertakes to provide Lelectricity from these parks at a price determined in advance and over a specific duration.

The company thus has a reliable and competitive energy, from EDF Renewables’ wind and solar farms.

Alexandre Lévy, Director of Investments and PPAs in France at EDF Renewables

“PPAs allow our customers to cover part of their electricity consumption from dedicated solar or wind production parks, thus contributing to reducing the carbon footprint of the electricity system. They also allow them to benefit from a competitive electricity price that is independent of fluctuations in the electricity market over the long term, thus providing visibility that favors their investments. »
