EDF EN announces the signing of an exclusive partnership agreement with the Danish group DONG Energy, a leading global player in offshore wind power. This agreement is part of the call for tenders that the French government is preparing to launch for offshore wind power.
With more than 20 years of experience in the field of offshore wind power in Northern Europe, DONG Energy brings its expertise as a specialist and pioneer in this sector. A key player in the renewable industry, DONG Energy is the energy company that has built the largest number of offshore wind farms in the world. It currently has more than 1,000 MW and 12 parks in operation, as well as 1,300 MW under construction.
“ We are very pleased to associate a recognized European partner with the future French call for tenders and to combine its long experience in offshore with ours. » declared Yvon André, Deputy Managing Director of EDF Energies Nouvelles.
This exclusive partnership will combine the know-how and investment capacities of the two Groups, within a common structure of which EDF EN will be the majority, with the objective of guaranteeing the technical and financial solidity of the projects in response to the next call offers from the French government. This partnership follows the exclusive agreement signed with Alstom Power for the supply of wind turbines.
