EDF Renewables launches a crowdfunding campaign for the construction of the CET solar power plant in Dijon (Côte d'Or)

Paris, April 2, 2021 – The collection, for a total amount of €200,000, has made it possible to invest since 1er April in a photovoltaic power plant whose commissioning is scheduled for September 2021. The collection is open exclusively for the first 15 days of April to residents of the Dijon Metropolis, then from April 16, to residents of the following departments: Côte d'Or, Jura, Haute-Marne, Haute-Saône, Nièvre, Saône-et-Loire and Yonne.

Involve residents in the construction of the Dijon CET solar power plant

This collection, which started on 1er April 2021 via the site www.lendosphere.com/dijon, aims to finance part of the construction of the photovoltaic power plant located north of Dijon, near the Toison d'Or Technology Park.

Initiated in 2018, this photovoltaic project is located at the former technical landfill center (CET) in Dijon, where rubble and residue from construction sites were previously stored. The CET was closed and rehabilitated by the Dijon Metropolis during the summer of 2020.

The work began in September 2020 with the preparation of the land, the provision of access and the securing of the site. They are currently continuing with the preparation of foundations and electrical networks.

Investing in sustainable economic recovery and energy transition

This solar power plant will contribute to local dynamism and generate direct economic benefits for communities. This project marks the desire of the Dijon Metropolis to promote the development of renewable energies in its territory.

For EDF Renewables, it is about sustainably supporting territories in their ambitions and carrying out environmentally friendly projects while supporting the local economy.

Through this crowdfunding operation, citizens become financiers of the CET solar power plant in Dijon.

This collection, set at €200,000, is reserved for:

  • to the inhabitants of the Metropolis of Dijon from 1er to April 15
  • then from April 16 to residents of the local and neighboring departments: Côte-d'Or, Aube, Jura, Haute-Marne, Nièvre, Haute-Saône, Saône-et-Loire, Yonne.

For Jennifer Ménage, regional manager of EDF Renewables: “  The Dijon photovoltaic power plant is the result of close collaboration between the region and EDF Renewables, but above all the desire of Dijon Métropole to engage in renewable energies. EDF Renewables pays the greatest attention to promoting the assets of each site with the aim of promoting economic and human development locally. The strong desire to move forward together with the territory is materialized in particular by the establishment of a participatory investment to allow residents to benefit from the economic benefits linked to the construction of this photovoltaic power plant. ".
