EDF Renewables launches crowdfunding for the Ottmarsheim photovoltaic power plant

EDF Renewables announces the opening on May 17 of crowdfunding, via Lendosphere, dedicated to the Ottmarsheim photovoltaic power plant, in Haut-Rhin. Amounting 200,000 euros, the collection is reserved for residents of Haut-Rhin, and neighboring departments: Bas-Rhin, Vosges and Territoire de Belfort.

About the project
Located in the municipalities of Ottmarsheim and Hombourg, the Ottmarsheim solar power plant revalues the former land of the base life of the construction site of the grand canal of Alsace formerly used during the construction site of the hydraulic power station and its dam. Work began in 2021, and the photovoltaic plant was inaugurated in July 2023.

With a total installed capacity of 15.5 MWp, the plant is made up of around 28,000 photovoltaic panels. It produces the equivalent of the annual electricity consumption of 7,500 inhabitants, or 2.2 times the population of the municipalities where it is located.
