EDF Renewables and Lendosphere launch a crowdfunding campaign for the Sud-Arrageois wind project, in Pas-de-Calais

EDF Renewables announces the opening of crowdfunding, via Lendosphere, for the Sud-Arrageois wind project, in Pas-de-Calais.

This collection will allow residents of the local department, Pas-de-Calais (62), and those of neighboring departments: Nord (59) and Somme (80), to invest from June 20 in this wind project. Investors will be kept informed of the construction site and electricity production throughout the duration of the project.

The Crêtes d'Héninel wind farm, in service since 2013, is the subject of an extension project, the Sud-Arrageois wind project, aimed at developing the production capacity of renewable energies in the region. Supported by EDF Renewables, this project is being carried out in consultation with elected officials from the municipalities of Héninel, Saint-Marti-sur-Cojeul and Croisilles, local associations and farmers. It plans to install six wind turbines in the municipalities of Héninel, Saint-Martin-sur-Cojeul and Croisilles.

More powerful than existing wind turbines, the six new wind turbines will offer an additional installed capacity of 21.6 MW, equivalent to the annual electricity consumption of 22,600 homes (excluding heating).

The project, started in February 2022 with the creation and reinforcement of roads, will continue with the installation of wind turbines from August 2022 for commissioning scheduled for the end of 2022.

With a goal of €200,000, this crowdfunding makes it possible to involve residents in the energy transition of their territory while benefiting from economic spinoffs, and for investors to decarbonize their savings by participating in a short-circuit project.

The investment terms (yield, duration, etc.) are presented on:

For Jennifer Ménage, Area Director of EDF Renewables:Several years after the construction of a first wind farm in the region, we are continuing our development for low-carbon energy production. This is the result of close collaboration between the region and EDF Renewables. We are very happy today to offer local residents the opportunity to invest in this wind project in South Arrageois. This campaign allows them to take part in this project and participate in the energy transition ".
