Involve residents in the energy transition of their region

With a total installed capacity of 2.7 MW, the Sainte-Julie photovoltaic power plant is made up of 5,130 panels. It will produce the equivalent of the average annual electricity consumption of around 1,623 inhabitants, i.e. more than the consumption of the inhabitants of Chazey-sur-Ain. The project was carried out jointly with the community of communes of Plaine de l'Ain and the commune of Sainte-Julie, throughout the development of the project. Work on the plant began at the end of September 2021. Commissioning is planned for the second half of 2022.

Decarbonize your savings by participating in a short circuit project

This participatory capital financing allows investors to support the energy transition of the Plaine de l'Ain territory by financing the redevelopment of a former household waste storage site, while benefiting from economic spinoffs. This is the opportunity to decarbonize their savings by participating in a short circuit project. Investors will be kept informed of the construction site and the production of the plant.

For Francis Audigier, Auvergne Rhône-Alpes regional manager of EDF Renewables: “The Sainte-Julie power plant, like the Lagnieu and Loyettes power plants, are the culmination of close collaborations between the territory and EDF Renewables initiated in 2016. They are fully in line with the energy transition ambitions set out in the Plan Climate Air Energy of the Community of Communes of Plaine de l'Ain. We wish, through this crowdfunding, to go further by directly involving local residents involved in climate issues. ".
