Involve residents in the energy transition of their region

With a total installed power of 5 MW, the Saint-Amand-Montrond photovoltaic power plant is made up of approximately 9,400 photovoltaic panels. It will produce 5.5 GWh annually, the equivalent of the electricity consumption of around 2,650 people, or more than a quarter of the inhabitants of the town of Saint-Amand-Montrond. The project was carried out jointly with the municipality of Saint-Amand-Montrond, throughout the development of the project. Work on the power station began in December 2020 with preparatory work on roads and various networks (access, tracks, platforms for posts, etc.). Commissioning is planned for October 2022.

Decarbonize your savings by participating in a short circuit project

This participatory capital financing allows investors to support the energy transition of the municipality of Saint-Amand-Montrond by financing the redevelopment of a former technical waste landfill center, while benefiting from economic spinoffs. This is the opportunity to decarbonize their savings by participating in a short circuit project. Investors will be kept informed of the construction site and the production of the plant.

For Youcef Ait El Kabous, regional manager for Center Val de Loire: “The Saint-Amand-Montrond photovoltaic power plant is the result of close collaboration between the region and EDF Renewables, for the reconversion of a former waste storage center. It marks the municipality's desire to engage in renewable energies. EDF Renewables was able to develop a project on complex terrain in close connection with the municipality of Saint-Amand-Montrond and is fully in line with both national and regional energy transition ambitions. This project allows for diversification of the municipality's energy mix and the creation of a new economic activity. ".
