EDF Renewables and Lendosphere launch a crowdfunding campaign for the Moulin solar power plant, in the Alpes-de-Haute-Provence

EDF Renewables announces the opening today of crowdfunding, via Lendosphere, for the construction of the Moulin solar power plant, in Sainte-Tulle, in the Alpes-de-Haute-Provence.

This collection will allow the local population to invest until August 20 in the photovoltaic plant. This fundraising campaign is initially reserved for residents of the Durance-Luberon-Verdon-Agglomeration Community. From July 4, the collection will be open to residents of the departments of Alpes-de-Haute-Provence, Hautes-Alpes, Alpes-Maritimes, Drôme, Var and Vaucluse. Investors will be kept informed of the construction site and electricity production throughout the duration of the project.

The Moulin solar power plant is located in a former combustion residue storage area (slag heap) and is therefore part of a sector with low environmental issues. This project was initiated in close collaboration with EDF Hydro Méditerranée and the municipality of Sainte-Tulle, with the strong desire to maintain the development of renewable energies in the region while promoting a former industrial site.

With a total installed capacity of 2.8 MW, the Moulin photovoltaic plant is made up of more than 5,000 panels. It will produce annually the equivalent of the average electricity consumption of around 1,860 inhabitants, half of the population of Sainte-Tulle.
Crowdfunding makes it possible to support the construction of this power plant, for which the earthworks were carried out from February to April 2022. The work will resume at the end of August with the installation of the surface foundations, before the installation of the first photovoltaic panels at fall 2022 for commissioning planned for February 2023.

With a target of €75,000, this participatory capital financing makes it possible to involve residents in the energy transition of their territory while benefiting from economic spinoffs, and for investors to decarbonize their savings by participating in a short-circuit project.

The investment terms (yield, duration, etc.) are presented on:

For Sofiane Boukebbous, South-East and Overseas Area Director of EDF Renewables:We are very pleased to offer citizens the opportunity to participate in the financing of this new ground-mounted photovoltaic power plant in the town of Sainte-Tulle. The latter will make it possible to strengthen our existing photovoltaic assets in the municipality and to promote a former combustion residue storage site. The Moulin photovoltaic power plant responds to the challenges of the current energy transition and the objectives of developing renewable energies. »
