Continuing its development in France, EDF Energies Nouvelles announces the commissioning in the Nord Pas-de-Calais region of the Seuil de Bapaume and La Plaine de l'Escrebieux wind farms, for a combined power of 27 MW.

The Seuil de Bapaume wind farm, with 15 MW of installed capacity, is located in the territory of the commune of Transloy, in the Pas-de-Calais department.
The 12 MW La Plaine de l'Escrebieux wind farm is built on the territory of the municipality of Lauwin-Planque, in the Nord department.

Seuil de Bapaume and La Plaine de l'Escrebieux are respectively made up of five and four Siemens wind turbines with a unit power of 3 MW. The production of the two wind farms is equivalent to the annual electricity consumption of more than 28,000 inhabitants.
During the construction phases, more than 150 local jobs were mobilized.

These two new renewable energy installations are owned equally by EDF Energies Nouvelles and Diamond Generating Europe, a subsidiary of the Mitsubishi Corporation Group.

In the Nord Pas-de-Calais region, EDF Energies Nouvelles currently has around 90 MW of wind projects under development, construction and operation.
