EDF Energies Nouvelles continues its Operations & Maintenance activity, with over 13 GW in capacity worldwide now under management

EDF Energies Nouvelles is announcing a strong growth in its Operations & Maintenance (O&M) business for renewable energy facilities – both for its own account and for third parties.
In the first half of 2015, EDF Energies Nouvelles' O&M business increased by 16% on year-end 2014, reaching 13.6 GW in capacity under management in 10 countries. The main focus of its business is managing wind farms (12 GW) and solar power plants (1.4 GWp).

Positions in Europe strengthened

EDF EN Services, EDF Energies Nouvelles' subsidiary dedicated to O&M activities in Europe, expanded by over 26%.

This 633 MW increase in assets managed by EDF EN Services lifted for the first time the Group passed the 3 GW mark in Europe during the first half of 2015, up from 2.4 GW at year-end 2014.

Growth in the O&M activities in the wind energy segment, particularly in Germany, the United Kingdom and Poland, was the main driver powering this significant increase. Another highlight of the first half of the year was EDF EN Services' expansion into Belgium, the seventh country in which it now operates in Europe, in addition to France, the United Kingdom, Germany, Italy, Poland and Greece.

Pursuing expansion in North America

EDF Renewable Services, the subsidiary of EDF Energies Nouvelles in North America in this segment, recorded a 13% growth in its O&M business.

Strengthening its positions in the United States, Canada and Mexico, EDF Renewable Services has won contracts to manage close to 1,230 MW in new assets during the first half of 2015.

To date, the capacity operated and maintained by EDF Renewable Services stands at over 10 GW under management.
