Cédric Le Bousse appointed Director of Marine Renewable Energy France at EDF Renewables

Paris, April 3, 2020 _ EDF Renouvelables announces the appointment of Cédric Le Bousse as Director of Marine Renewable Energies France as of today. He joins the Management Committee of EDF Renewables and succeeds Béatrice Buffon appointed on February 9, Executive Director of the EDF group, in charge of International Management.

Holder of an engineering degree from the École nationale supérieure des Mines de Paris, Cédric Le Bousse began his career at EDF Renouvelables (formerly Energies Nouvelles) in 2006 within the New Affairs Department. As project manager, he participates in the development of offshore wind projects in France, as well as in monitoring the construction of C-Power offshore projects in Belgium (325 MW) and Teesside in the United Kingdom (62 MW). ).

In 2009, he created and structured the EDF Renewables subsidiary in Israel. Appointed Technical Director of the Polat Energy subsidiary in Turkey in 2012, he manages the engineering, contracting and construction of local wind projects.

Returning to France in 2014, he became Deputy Industry Director for marine energy projects. He contributes to the structuring of maritime teams and projects in France, as well as to the launch and construction of the Blyth project in the United Kingdom (41.5 MW).

Since 2016, he has been Director of the Asia-Pacific region. He contributed to the growth of the EDF Renewables portfolio in India and China, and notably worked on the creation of a joint venture with China Energy Investment Corporation (China Energy) to build and operate offshore wind farms in Dongtai IV and V (500 MW total capacity). This success made EDF Renewables the first foreign offshore wind developer to take a position on the Chinese market.

In France, EDF Renewables is currently carrying out major offshore wind farm projects, including the one off Saint-Nazaire in the construction phase, and three others in the development phase, namely Fécamp, Courseulles-sur-Mer and Dunkerque.

In total, EDF Renewables has a portfolio of nearly 6.5 GW of offshore wind projects in operation, under construction and development around the world. The company also wishes to develop its activities in new innovative sectors, such as floating wind power.
