Arkolia Energies and EDF Energies Nouvelles, partners to carry out 84 MW of wind projects in France

Arkolia Energies, a Hérault-based company specializing in methanization, solar and wind power, and EDF Energies Nouvelles, one of the leaders in wind power in France, have entered into a partnership to continue the development, build and operate two 84 MW wind projects. in the Occitanie region.

Arkolia Energies and EDF Energies Nouvelles acquire, in equal shares, the interests of the IDEX group, one of the main independent operators of energy efficiency services, in two wind projects in advanced development phases:

  • Located in the department of Aveyron, the Haut-Dourdou wind project has an installed capacity of 57 MW.
  • Located in the Lozère department, the Croix de Bor wind project has an installed capacity of 27 MW. It is now co-owned by Arkolia, EDF Energies Nouvelles and VSB Energies Nouvelles, an independent company for the development, construction and operation of wind farms and photovoltaic power plants whose head office is based in Nîmes.

The purchase of this portfolio of wind projects combines, for Arkolia Energies, with the takeover of the renewable energy activities of the Ile-de-France group Idex and the integration of seven new employees specializing in the development of wind and methanization projects.

In France, EDF Energies Nouvelles currently operates 1,170 MW of installed wind capacity and has nearly 200 MW of wind projects under construction or to be built by the end of 2017.
