An international consortium comprising EDF Energies Nouvelles, MEAG, acting as asset manager of Munich Re, and GE Energy Financial Services, a division of GE, has signed the definitive agreement with Iberdrola for the previously announced acquisition of 30 wind farms in operation in France with a total gross capacity of 305 MW.
The agreement announced in January 2013 and now finalized provides for assets to be held by EDF Energies Nouvelles for 20 %, by GE Energy Financial Services for 40 %, and by MEAG for 40 %.
EDF Energies Nouvelles will provide asset management and operation and maintenance services for the wind farms.
This operation is an opportunity for the three consortium partners to strengthen their portfolio of renewable energy production assets in France.
