EDF Energies Nouvelles has announced a partnership with Diamond Generating Europe (Mitsubishi Corporation Group) to build four wind farms with 72 MW in total capacity in northern France. Upon completion of the transaction, each partner will have an interest in the joint venture holding the four projects.
EDF Energies Nouvelles will oversee construction of the four wind farms located in the Aisne, Pas-de-Calais and Nord departments of northern France and provide asset management services after the commissioning of the projects scheduled for 2014.
“This deal represents an opportunity for EDF Energies Nouvelles to bolster its wind energy portfolio and strengthen its positions in France. It will also expand the partnership with Mitsubishi Corporation in renewable energies generation”, commented Emmanuel Jaclot, Executive Vice President of Strategy, M&A and DSSA.
