EDF Energies Nouvelles appoints Carmelo Scalone as Director of New Affairs

Within EDF Energies Nouvelles, which carries out more than 80% of its international activities with a presence in 18 countries, Carmelo Scalone is responsible for main missions of :

• deploy the international development strategy of the company and its presence in new geographical areas, in new or existing sectors;

• pilot the partnerships and subsidiaries in new countries at the start of their activities.

Since 2007, Carmelo Scalone held the position of Director of Development within the renewable subsidiary of the Portuguese energy company EDP.

A graduate of IESE Business School in Barcelona and Bocconi University in Milan, this electrical engineer has held various responsibilities in management positions in Italy, Spain and Sweden both in the renewable energy industry and within of international energy groups.
