EDF Energies Nouvelles and WindVision have decided to combine their skills and experience to finalize the Le Mont des 4 Faux wind project. In the development phase since 2006, in the Champagne-Ardenne region, this onshore wind project with a potential of around fifty turbines is the largest in France in terms of capacity to install.
The Mont des 4 Faux project is located approximately 30 km from Reims in the Ardennes plains and has a potential of around fifty wind turbines.
EDF Energies Nouvelles and WindVision are combining their expertise to bring the project to fruition. The two partners intend to complete the studies to obtain authorization and town planning files, as well as continue the consultation work with local stakeholders engaged alongside WindVision for many years. Locally, the development of the project will be carried out jointly by the two companies.
Stephan Moelans, Managing Director of WindVision said at the signing of the agreement : “Since 2006, we have believed in this ambitious project. EDF Energies Nouvelles' ability to carry out complex projects reinforces our confidence in their success. »
“This project responds to EDF Energies Nouvelles’ strategy of continuing its development in a partnership logic. The in-depth knowledge of the project provided by WindVision allows us to capitalize on the dynamic undertaken to bring this major park to fruition together” added Emmanuel Jaclot, deputy general manager of EDF Energies Nouvelles.
The Champagne-Ardenne region has the largest installed wind energy capacity in France. The group currently operates four renewable installations there with a total of 38.3 MW:
- Three wind farms in the Marne: Clamanges (10 MW), Portes de Champagne (12.3 MW) and Vanault le Châtel (8.5 MW);
- The Romilly-sur-Seine solar power plant in Aube (7.5 MW).
