EDF Energies Nouvelles signs new operations and maintenance agreements, achieving 11 GW managed worldwide

EDF Energies Nouvelles announces the signature of several operations and maintenance (O&M) agreements for the management of wind and solar power facilities for its own account and for third parties, the largest of which cover 656 MW in United States, 599 MW in Italy and 588 MW in Canada.
During 2014, the O&M activity of EDF Energies Nouvelles globally has risen by 20%, taking the total capacity to be managed up from 9.1 GW to almost 11 GW in nine countries.

O&M in Europe: expanding into new countries

EDF EN Services, the EDF Energies Nouvelles subsidiary devoted to O&M in Europe, is now established in Italy to manage 599 MW worth of new assets, mainly wind farms.
It will be managing these facilities on behalf of a structure devoted to renewable energies in Italy, co-owned by Edison, EDF Energies Nouvelles and the investor F2i.
Italy is now the sixth European country joining France, Greece, the United Kingdom, Germany, and Poland at the start of 2014, in which the O&M subsidiary operates. With the new entity, EDF EN Services Italia, EDF Energies Nouvelles is considerably strengthening its position in Europe.

So far, in Europe, EDF EN Services has a portfolio of 2.4 GW in O&M.

O&M in North America: continuing growth

EDF Renewable Services, the EDF Energies Nouvelles subsidiary devoted to O&M in the United States, Canada and Mexico, grew its portfolio in 2014, most notably with 588 MW worth of new wind and solar facilities agreements in Canada and in the United States with 656 MW .

Today, EDF Renewable Services counts over 8.5 GW in O&M contracts.
