EDF Energies Nouvelles signs a Power Purchase Agreement related to a 150 MW wind energy project in the United States

EDF Energies Nouvelles announces the signature of a 20-year Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) between its US subsidiary EDF Renewable Energy and Kansas City Power & Light (KCP & L).
This agreement covers the electricity generated by the future Slate Creek wind farm (150 MW) in Kansas.

The Slate Creek wind farm located south of Wichita, Kansas, will comprise 75 Vestas turbines. Construction is due to begin in late 2014 with commissioning scheduled by the end of 2015.

With this agreement, the EDF Energies Nouvelles group has demonstrated its ability to pursue its development in the United States and continues its relationship with KCP & L for which EDF Energies Nouvelles has already developed three projects in Kansas (Spearville 1, 2 and 3).
