EDF Energies Nouvelles holds in France its first international Operations & Maintenance Summit

Leveraging its international presence and its leadership position in Operations & Maintenance services for renewable installations in the French market, EDF Energies Nouvelles is holding its “Operations & Maintenance Summit” for the first time in France. Initiated in 2013 in the United States, it shall be held once a year alternately in each area. This professional event intended for facilities owners and investment groups, aims to establish discussions on the major issues of the management of the Operations & Maintenance solar and wind energy installations.The seminar will be held between 2 and 4 June 2014 in the Ile de France region (Paris).

Programme for the Operations & Maintenance Summit

Several themes will be developed in lectures and round tables:

  • How to take into account security in everyday life?
  • What are the criteria of effectiveness of a maintenance team and engineering teams?
  • Issues of Research and Development of systems for monitoring and remote management of equipment ;
  • Monitoring centers a key element of performance ;
  • What means to exceed performance targets and profitability of the installations?
  • What prospects for innovation for new services?

With over 9 GW in capacity under management in Europe and North America, the EDF Energies Nouvelles group’s Operations & Maintenance business recorded a 30% growth in 2013 in Europe.
The ‘Operations & Maintenance Summit’ will provide an opportunity to share an experience of over 25 years and technical expertise geared to maximising the performance and lifetime of the wind and solar energy facilities.

EDF Energies Nouvelles’ O&M activities key figures:

  • More than 1,000 employees worldwide, including 434 in Europe;
  • Close to 500 (offshore and onshore) wind and (roof array and ground-based) solar facilities including 352 in Europe;
  • A network of Operations & Maintenance centers:
    – in Europe: France, Greece, United Kingdom, Poland and Germany (Belgium and Italy to be set up);
    – in North America: United States, Canada and Mexico.
  • Two monitoring centers:
    – at Colombiers (Hérault) in France for all the European facilities;
    – at San Diego (California) in the United States for all facilities located in North America.
